🚛🌿 A Friendly Refuse & Green Waste Reminder 🌿🚛
Recently, District staff have encountered several violations in both refuse containers and at our green waste disposal. We would like to remind residents that these guidelines are in place to protect District equipment, reduce costly repairs, and keep services operating efficiently for the entire community.
While we appreciate the creativity, our equipment does not.
The rules aren't there to make life difficult. They're there because items like construction debris, appliances, large tree rounds, and other prohibited materials can seriously damage our refuse truck and other equipment. Repairs are expensive, cause downtime, and make it harder for us to provide reliable service to the community.
Remember:
🚫 Refuse cans are not for green waste, construction debris, appliances, ashes, or electronics.
🚫 Green waste is not for garbage, construction materials, or large tree rounds hidden under a layer of brush.
✅ Green waste should consist of biodegradable yard and garden waste such as grass, leaves, branches, weeds, pine needles, pinecones, fruits, and vegetables.
Thank you for helping us protect our equipment, avoid costly repairs, and keep services running smoothly for everyone. And to those tree rounds trying to sneak in undercover—we see you. 👀🌲
