Seeing it snowing here today. I am grateful that I road my bike yesterday to get groceries and done laundry. Making a Pork tenderloins roast for supper tonight. I have been dealing with a lot on my plate lately. I owe $4,000 for my vehicle repairs. Don't know which way to turn. But I personally know that a drink or drugs wouldn't solve anything in my life today. I am not going to throw away 3,139 days of sobriety and clean time. Yes I need help for my vehicle repairs.
Philippians 4 13 says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Recovery has taught me to keep pushing forward not going back to the past hurts, hang-ups and old habits. Celebrate Recovery, my sponsors, my recovery support team, all the recovery sites have helped me grow into his likeness each day. By all means I am not more important than any other person in recovery, reality. This is where what I have written before - Always keep the faith like a mustard seed. Water it with love and recovery! Watch it grow, embracing who you're becoming today. Well lived today, for tomorrow is never promised , but a vision of hope. Necessary for today. From home to the laundry mat. I made a bracket for my bike. I had won this wagon years ago. Made the bracket mounted to my bike. After the clothes were in the washer I road my bike to do grocery shopping. To Piggly wiggly back to get the clothes then home safely. I hope this inspires some one out there, it shows you how willing you will go to achieve sobriety and life today. By all means I am not better than any one else. It may be early but one thing I celebrate all year is this baby called Jesus Christ. I know first hand this man wouldn't be here if it wasn't for God! I know first hand he saved a sinner like myself. I know first hand he has never left me or has forsaken me ,given up on us all. I know first hand God my daughter Billie Marie face planted me in a tree that Cold November 21 day of 2014. God knew it took me to surrender my life,my will, to let go leave God rebuild me from ground up April 29,15 & to become ready willing April 30,2015 to start this amazing journey of recovery. Yes indeed the devil though he had won here two years ago. By me loosing hope, isolation, depression,not worthy of being loved, to feel God's love and blessings in our lives. Yes I may fall short some days as a human being. What helped me out when my sister Nicole Clarey said we are no higher than human. Yes my brother Alan Goss and sister in-law Johnna Goss helped me grow. Then God placed some amazing people like Steven Mertes Pastor James Smith into my life. My sister Andi L Micheau sat on that phone with me for two hours which helped save my life. Sarah Nelson Crystal Ewald Tricia L. Yes I am still struggling with my repair bill but I know this to shall pass. A drink or drugs wouldn't solve anything in my life. God freed me of that obsession. That's why I will keep making that deep and personal commitment before God myself and all of you. I will remain clean and sober no matter what life brings me today. I finally got my dart shirt today. It even has my nickname on it . Like the shirt said I would hit that middle to get a hat trick I done just that without drinking and druging. Thank you God for giving me my daily Reprieve from alcohol and drugs. Thank you God for the gift of sobriety and life today. Just grateful for everything. Another beautiful morning 🌹 sitting upon a hill looking over the Horicon Marsh. Just thinking about two years ago. Where I started taking life or thinking about ending my life. Today is a huge blessing to e a tiny part of a whole. Grateful God took that drink and drug away. Instead to have that intimate relationship with God and Jesus Christ. Yes hopefully some days with a wonderful woman. The biggest thing I have learned first things first. Take care of yourself. Grateful and blessed today. I personally want to thank God for placing you all in my life. God's blessings upon each of you. I think I should have went goose hunting instead, man them geese were low. Tree top height. Just got done with taking care of the leaves and grass for the last time of the year. I must say it was a grateful time of the year doing maintenance work here at the Unity club West Bend Wisconsin. Yes there are a few things I still need to fix. But really grateful for life today. This place has saved my life alone with countless others. Remember recovery doesn't take a vacation. Thank you God for all the members of the Unity Club. God's blessings upon each of you. We will see you soon. Please don't forget the Gratitude dinner this Saturday the November 18,2023.
