Hot summer days can be especially tough on our four-legged family members. 🐾

Help keep pets safe by:
💧 Providing plenty of fresh water
🌳 Making sure they have access to shade
🐕 Taking shorter walks during cooler parts of the day
🚗 Never leaving them inside a parked vehicle
☀️ Watching for excessive panting, weakness or other signs of heat stress

🧼 Change your air filter immediately if it’s dirty
🧹 Clear grass, leaves and debris away from the outdoor unit
☀️ Keep blinds closed during peak sunlight hours
🌡️ Set your thermostat between 75–78°F
😎 Use ceiling and portable fans to help rooms feel cooler

Try to avoid making large thermostat adjustments during the hottest part of the day. Your system may run longer than usual as it works to maintain a comfortable temperature.

💧Struggling with stubborn drains? Here are three causes of clogged drains in your home, and how to clear them out to keep the water flowing.

1. Kitchen drains can become clogged with a buildup of fats, oils, and greases, which can solidify and trap food scraps. Always make sure to wipe away food grease in the trash before rinsing dishes.
2. Clogged drains in the shower are commonly due to excess hair getting caught. Brushing your hair before washing can help reduce loose hair building up.
3. Don’t flush outside objects down the toilet. Even “flushable” wipes don’t properly break down in the drain, and can oftentimes lead to sewer line blockages.

If drains are slow rather than completely blocked, use an enzyme-based cleanser to break down drain buildup. If plunging doesn’t work, or multiple drains become clogged, contact us to have a technician resolve the problem and keep your home’s water running smoothly.
