Friends and family, please take this caution request very seriously. If you are building, getting ready to build, or thinking about building in East Tennessee please do your research on who you have involved in your investment. We come across "cabin builders" who are out to either scam people or produce very low quality work leaving people frustrated and often times in litigation fighting for things to be corrected or their money back. This follows suit for "pool builders".
We are not only indoor/outdoor cabin pool builders in the Great Smoky Mountains, but we also service over 300 cabin pools a week allowing us to see the ins and outs of all types of builds. Within the past few years, we have seen a lot of contractors who think they can build the pool themselves and do not hire an actual pool builder. Guess who gets those calls to come fix everything later on? We do, and most of the time it doesn't come without a hefty cost because it's usually major repairs.
We also do pool inspections before a cabin/home goes to the closing table during the buying and selling process. We've seen brand new pools already falling away from the deck and after our inspection, it forced the "builder" to rip out the entire fiberglass pool and do it right (somewhat). We do not stand silent to the dangerous and careless work done by these people.
And the biggest clue we see VERY often is the type of plumbing used. There is a difference and if your "pool builder" doesn't know what that difference is, it may be time to fire them. These people are taking advantage of the market and your pocketbook.
We say all of this to encourage you or anyone you may know to do your research. Make sure the contractor or company you hire has the right credentials (license, insurance, experience/knowledge, and references). While you think you may be getting a deal upfront, it usually costs you thousands more at the end.
Please let us know if there is any way in which we can help you.
Be blessed!
