😍Hey can we give a quick shoutout to annuals that overwinter and are shining with produce right now? 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Having an overwintering plant is so wonderful, feels like a cheat because you get a head start!!

🌶️I’ve got 2-chili pepper plants that are on their 3rd year (jalapeno & Fresno)
🌶️ Satans kiss 💋 chili pepper and a Shish*to are on year 2
🍅 Cherry tomato plant on its 2nd year!

Anyone else have an overwinter plant?

Martinez!!! FREE compost this Saturday!!!

Republic Services will be hosting a Free Compost Giveaway for Martinez residents on Saturday, June 13th at the Martinez Marina/Yacht Club Parking Lot (111 Tarantino Drive) from 9 AM to 1 PM! Residents can collect up to 40 gallons or eight five-gallon buckets. Limited slots are available, and appointments are required. For instructions and to sign up, go to

If you live near a major city in CA there’s FREE compost to be had!!! As part of SB1383 each city has to purchase a certain amount of compost, based on population. This compost needs to be distributed throughout the city so having a giveaway is key to that.

Most are self haul so bring your buckets, gloves and shovels.
