Today we are really excited to bring you Reubin Brewer and his 2 businesses, Exclusive Lawn Solutions and Young Paid Nation. Reubin is also newer to the entrepreneur lifestyle with his 2 businesses being young, but it’s doesn’t mean the 21 year old hasn’t already started making his footprint in our community! We asked Reubin about how he got started and what made him choose this route, this is what he had to say about it,
“Right after high school I attended the university of Northwestern Ohio for a few and things were just not working out for me. So I knew I had to come up with a game plan if i wasn’t going to finish school and i did just that! I started my brand “Young Paid Nation” and my lawn care service “Exclusive Lawn Solutions”! Since I have started this entrepreneur path things have been good, bad, and ugly! I’ve learned to be ready for the unexpected and always be prepared for any thing. It’s not always about what you know it’s about who you know that can save you plenty time and effort!”
Reubin isn’t afraid of hard work and his businesses are here to benefit every home or other business around town. From giving your lawn the final touches with a nice edge up to outshine the neighbors or filling his vending machines located commercially around town, Reubin takes care of it all to make sure it’s all nothing but the best done by the best! Today we are featuring another fairly young black owned business! Let me introduce Josh Feuerstein and Feuerstein Fitness. Feuerstein Fitness offers private 1-on-1 and small group training as well as virtual fitness & nutrition coaching right to your smartphone. Coaching all levels of experience from young athletes to seniors. With an emphasis on functional movement, Josh specializes in Kettlebells and calisthenics. Josh is also working on bringing a World Class, free outdoor Fitness Court to the public of Marion to give more people the option of getting in a workout.
When asked about his journey to starting Feuerstein Fitness and some of the visions he had this to say,
“Since breaking away from a local gym in early 2020 I (with the help of my wife) have created my identity and grown the brand with the goals to help people move efficiently, feel stronger, and simplify ways to improve eating habits. Most trainers in the area have very similar training styles so I decided to give Grant County a little flavor😉.”

To lead off our month of celebrating local Black Owned Businesses, we have Tashema Davis and the Echo Gallery. Located at 209 S Washington Street, Echo Gallery is home to local art that is always available on display. Here’s a little of what Tashema had to say about opening up Echo Gallery….
“I opened Echo Art Gallery in 2019 because there was a need for a local art gallery. Echo Art Gallery is for the community. Artists are free to hang, sell and promote their work at Echo. Echo also provides opportunities for the community to learn about painting. We offer $10 one hour classes every month. To sign up visit our page Echo Gallery.”

Did you guys know August was National Black Owned Business month? This month we want to highlight all the black owned businesses in our area to share the light that our community has to offer. We are a black owned business created in 2020 that specializes in commercial and residential cleaning. We are family owned and operated right here in Marion! We love being able to help families keep their homes clean and fresh! We also pride ourselves on providing a safe and clean work area for our commercial clients. While starting a business has been a challenging journey, it continues to be so much fun. We are Scherrae, Alec, and Arin Turner and we are the faces behind And Just Like That LLC!
