Happy Friday friends! I’m so incredibly thankful for all of the likes and shares via social media and word of mouth. Clean Slate has gotten so much business and now, unfortunately, I can’t take on any new clients at the moment. If we have been in contact about getting you on the schedule, don’t worry, this does not apply to you. In the fall I will be reassessing my schedule and seeing if there is any way to add in more homes. Tips for getting the most out of your house cleaning services:
1. Clear the clutter—the biggest task that consumes time during a house cleaning is clearing away clutter from an area that needs to be cleaned. I want my clients to get the biggest bang for their buck and the most cleaning done. If a cleaner has to spend their limited time picking up or moving belongings around it can quickly eat into precious time scheduled for more meticulous cleaning. One thing I suggest if you are finding yourself with a lot to pick up before your scheduled service, is to gather all the items that are not put away and put them in a bin or box temporarily until a later time. This can save so much time for your cleaning service!
2. This also goes with no. 1–but clearing counters in kitchens and bathrooms can be such a huge time saver. If items on the bathroom vanity and kitchen counters can be put away it’s best to do so. Think- hair/makeup products in the bathroom, or small appliances, as well any mail or paperwork sitting around in the kitchen. 3. Communicate! This is so important! If you have expectations in your home or different priorities than your house cleaner, please communicate this before your service. If you don’t want a room cleaned or DO want extra attention to a certain area—please communicate that. Something else to think about communicating with your cleaner, is if there are any fragile items your home. Any antiques that could easily break? How about cupboards doors that are barely hanging on? Anything broken that needs an extra gentle touch while being cleaned? How about any allergies in your family? All things to think about before your first service.
