Depending on your age, you’ve
probably lived through more than a few “New Year, New You” moments. You wake up on January 1st convinced that everything is going to be different from that point forward.

Honestly? I think that mindset is complete hogwash. 🚫

Let’s be real—whether it’s growing a residential cleaning business, improving your home routines, or building better habits, big change can feel overwhelming. If I had started my journey by focusing on everything I needed to change, learn, or fix, I’m not sure I would’ve ever gotten started.

If you’re anything like our family, the final preparations are in full swing and the kids have been counting down for what feels like months.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had countless conversations with families reaching out in a panic because their cleaner canceled last minute, leaving them unsure of what to do right before the holidays. Many asked if there was any chance we could squeeze them in. 👀

And while we truly wish we could help everyone, the honest answer is that we don’t have open availability—and that’s by design.

At H2BH , we intentionally do not overbook our schedule. Our priority isn’t packing the calendar to the brim; it’s showing up consistently and doing what we do best—providing a reliable, high-quality clean you can count on. Life happens, and on rare occasions when a cleaner has an unexpected issue, we plan ahead with enough flexibility to still take care of our clients.

All that being said, we do keep a small amount of wiggle room before Christmas—but that flexibility is reserved for our existing clients. We want to make sure the families who have already trusted us with their homes receive the clean they’re expecting during one of the busiest weeks of the year.

We don’t cross our fingers and hope everything goes perfectly.
We plan & we prepare. 🙌

A year ago, I had no idea how much life was about to change (for the best) 🥹💜

On December 19th last year, I completed my final professional clean. While I still straighten up around our own home here and there, that day marked the very last time I cleaned for another family as part of H2BH. Just one day before that final clean, I found out I was pregnant with Adymese—a quiet, life-altering moment that would reshape everything that followed.

Over the past year, I’ve learned and grown in ways I never could have anticipated. I haven’t stopped working, but my work looks entirely different now—and carries a deeper purpose. Today, my days are filled with finding and supporting cleans for our 10 incredible ladies on the team, caring for my two wonderful stepchildren, and being the very best mom I can be to the most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen. 😍

And through it all, my husband has been right there beside me—steadfast, supportive, and endlessly encouraging. His partnership has helped make 2025 the best year of my life, hands-down. 🙌

As I reflect on this milestone, my heart is full of gratitude. I hope each and every one of you reading this had an amazing year as well.

One thing I truly appreciate about my church is the yearly reminder to be generous and to intentionally look for ways to improve the lives of the people around us. At church, that generosity looks like supporting ministries, providing food and gifts for families in need during the holidays, and stepping up whenever there’s a need. 🤝

It’s crazy how quickly things can change! Just a few weeks ago, I was posting about falling leaves and the beauty of Minnesota’s fall season. Now—literally overnight—the ground, grass, and trees are completely covered in snow. 👀 ❄️

Things change quickly inside the house, too. One day you’re going to bed on Christmas Eve… and the next morning you’re waking up to presents everywhere, gift wrap on the floor, and tinsel sprinkled across the house. The joy of the season often brings a little clutter with it. 😆

As we celebrate our third Thanksgiving in business, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. This season always reminds me of what truly matters, and I want to take a moment to share what I’m most thankful for. 🙏

Above all, I thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His presence and guidance—seen and unseen—have shaped my life in ways I could never fully express. Everything I have and everything I am is because of Him.

I’m deeply grateful for my incredible husband. Rob is my steady place to land in a world and business that’s constantly changing. His support, perspective, and strength mean more to me than words can say. 🥹

And right alongside him, I am endlessly thankful for our beautiful daughter Adymese (Ada-mees). Motherhood has been the most joyful, unexpected, and rewarding adventure. She has changed my world in ways I never could’ve imagined. 💜

I’m also so grateful for the wonderful cleaners who make up the H2BH team. Their hard work, care, and commitment are the heartbeat of this business. Truly—nothing we do would be possible without them. ✨
