Spring will be here before you know it, and all the dormant insects will be at full force. Applying an exterior barrier treatment will keep the insects from infesting the interior of your home or business. The insecticide used is EPA approved and labeled for residential, commercial, industrial, health facilities, schools and daycares. When applied by a professional pest management professional there is no concern of being exposed by insecticides. Call for a free quote.

Stinging insect season is peaking. Now is the time of year when you notice hornet and wasp nests, either hanging from a structure or entering a crack and crevice in your home/business. ๐Ÿ Never fill a void that is getting stinging insect activity as this will drive them inside and create a mess. Waiting for it to get cooler will not get rid of the interior nest...they will invade the interior of your structure in the upcoming colder months. If youโ€™re experiencing any problems we have the solutions.

Wrapping up a steady Winter season of taking care of rodents and insects that do not go dormant in the colder months. Was great to assist those with seasonal camps and stay connected with some commercial customers, as some pests like to try and stay warm in the Winter too!

Looking forward to the coming months - wishing everyone a great start to Spring, and looking forward to serving the community.

Sincerely, Appalachian Pest Solutions, LLC

As the holidays approach, make sure your pantry is pest proof to ward off any unexpected visitors! Always be vigilant before stocking up, and avoid buying damaged products that may already be infested. Store baking ingredients and snacks in sealed plastic or glass containers, and clean up crumbs and spills promptly. Finally, do an inventory checking for expired items. Happy Thanksgiving from Appalachian Pest Solutions, LLC!

Hope everyone is enjoying the end of Summer and the Labor Day weekend. This is the time to be aware of hornet activity. They are very active at this time of year due to their life cycle. Please use caution if approaching a nest for removal. Night time is best, and we do NOT recommend that you attempt this yourself if it's larger than a softball, or in a hard to reach place. Stay safe and enjoy the weekend!

Summer is in full swing! ๐ŸŒž Since the temps have been quite warm the last few weeks, we are seeing an increase in certain pest activity. Mosquitos, wasps, hornets, ticks and ants, are some of the most prevalent Summer time pests. Check out this PA News article regarding some of these particular warm weather insects:

The weather pattern responsible for downpours and high humidity in the Lehigh Valley over the last week has moved on, and dry air will take hold today and continue on Wednesday, meteorologists say. Thatโ€™s good news for folks looking to get outside and soak up the sunshine, but bad news because it....

Fall Pest Control Tips - Fleas
As the temps get cooler and some of your pets spend more time indoors, you may find an unexpected flea infestation in your home. If you have a professional flea treatment completed in your residence, please be sure to plan treatment for your pets around the same time as well. Replace pet bedding/pillows, and clean all surfaces, floors and furniture accordingly to guarantee the effectiveness of extermination.
