Beautiful home had 9 uncapped chimney pots and was having problems with birds in the chimney. We were able to install copper caps to keep any rainwater and critters out. The shiny copper will eventually patina to match the rest of the copper trim on the home.

No camera tricks or photoshop. We cleaned the exterior of these chimneys up then sealed the crowns with a 20 year crown seal and waterproofed the rest of the chimneys in a 15 year waterproofer. Both products are made by Saver Systems and are designed for chimneys. They keep the masonry of your chimney dry and allows the moisture to breathe out. This will extend the life of the exterior of the chimney, minimize future growth of degrading mold, and reduce the spalling of bricks.

We got a call that a fireplace wasn’t drawing the way it used to. Creosote build up is what causes chimney fires. This chimney was so bad the bird cage cap was encrusted and wouldn’t allow a proper draw.
If you are burning more than once a week, make sure to get your chimney cleaned yearly. One hot fire or paper flare up could have caused a chimney fire and been a scary and expensive experience for this family. We cleaned it out for the family to enjoy safely again.

Installing gas logs? Make sure your fireplace looks as nice as the logs you’re installing.
First, we thoroughly cleaned everything to minimize the smell of the wood when using the gas logs. The firebox had cracked mortar joints and was stained from years of wood burning. We removed and replaced the crumbling mortar and gave it time to cure. We came back and painted the firebox with high heat black paint to seal in any smoky smells as well as provide a pleasing background for the new gas logs to be installed.

The doors were rusted shut on this antique stove and the homeowner wanted it out of there. We safely brought it outside and painted the firebox with Rustoleum high temperature black for a nice finish.Because the damper was already gone, we installed a top seal damper to ensure the chimney wouldn’t be drafty when not in use. Homeowner is painting the outside brick.

Full chimney restoration-
We tore the chimney down to the roofline and ground out all the mortar below that. We pointed and rebuilt with Type-s mortar to ensure long lasting repair. After the mortar cured, we painted the chimney white at the customers request to match the front of their house.

Prefab pipe had dislodged in the chase of this chimney. Not something we typically deal with, but we got it fixed up. It’s sitting straight and 100% safe.
