In 1989, a father and a son started a business called “Father and Son Cleaning,” which provided carpet cleaning and upholstery services in Brevard County, shorty after Dad got hurt and couldn't do what, he was able to do before.When Father, Pedro Cortes, was injured the Son took over the business and renamed it “We Do Carpets” in 1992, changing the name to include everyone in his family. He wanted a family business to provide EMPLOYMENT for Family and Friends , (Financial +Spiritual ) Security and Support the family THAT IS WHY THE "WE" IN WE DO CARPETS" !🤔🧐community family and community. UNITED ! WE something I believe in! After, his commitment to the Armed Forces was over and he had learned all he could in the UNITED STATES ARMY, his job was a 63J30. Quartermaster and Chemical Equipment Specialist , as well as NCOIC in Nuclear Biological and Chemical Application. Many floors were done on late nights? We Do Carpets, was very successful, and the name of the company was sold to an out of state carpet cleaning franchise. At this time, Rafael Mendez went to school to pursue his education in the carpet-cleaning and cleaning /business industry. Upon completion of his water damage certification, he realized that in Florida it was just a matter of time before steam cleaning became obsolete. It made some kind of sense to him that " if carpet is made of material and has fibers when it gets wet it is very heavy, because the carpet holds the water. So if carpet can hold materials like water obviously it can hold dirt. Well when a carpet gets wet and it's dirty what do you have in the carpet? Mud! Now add more water the way they have to use with the steam cleaner, it's hot but! And hot mud just like hot water and dirt can damage carpets so why would you use them?

After continuing his education with the IICRC, and receiving advanced mold certifications, AMRT (Applied Microbial Remedial Technician) and WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician), he was awarded the ability to inspect, remediate, and remove mold and hazardous materials and has been serving the Brevard County, FL area ever since.
During the storm season of 2004-05, during the state of emergency, Advanced Cleaning boarded over 50 homes in preparation, saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in secondary mold damage to homes, and made sure customers received a “fair shake” with their insurance companies. Advanced Cleaning also assisted local radio stations in the proper procedure to secure, protect, and save personal property with the help of Mayor Mazziotti.
