Well… we survived the heat. 😂
First off, THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported our first car show. We ended up with 51 registered vehicles, raised $1,300 through the silent auction, and between the car show, silent auction, and all of our Saturday car washes, we raised right at $5,000 to help these young USA athletes with travel expenses for their international competitions.
This event would’ve never happened without a ton of people stepping up. Huge thank you to Strain Co. for the trash bins, the company that donated the porta potties, our DJ for donating his time, every food vendor that came out and even donated a portion of their sales, Bent Marine for bringing a boat, REM Wellness for donating a personal training package to the silent auction, Porsche of New Orleans, and every business, sponsor, volunteer, and person who donated their time, products, or money. We truly couldn’t have done it without y’all.
One favor… if you took pictures or videos during the event, please post them in the comments! I was so busy running around all day that I barely got to see anything, much less take any pictures myself.
This was year one, and we’re already talking about how to make next year’s event even bigger and better. Stay tuned… we’ve got some ideas.
