I wanted to take a moment and brag on one of our local businesses. One you may not even know is there yet. Our family had such a positive experience at Creekstone Academy today. The moment we walked through the door, we were greeted by warm, friendly staff who made both the children and adults feel welcome.
The teachers showed so much patience, kindness, and genuine care throughout the morning. We were especially impressed by how attentive they were to each child's unique personality and needs. One of our grandchildren is an extremely selective eater, and the staff somehow encouraged him to try a couple of bites of his food without any fuss or tears—an accomplishment that certainly did not go unnoticed!
At pickup time, all of the children were smiling, happy, and clearly enjoyed their day. Seeing them so comfortable and excited after spending the morning there gave us tremendous peace of mind.
Having experienced some difficult situations in the past, finding a place where my grandchildren feel safe, supported, and cared for is truly a gift. We are so thankful for the dedication and compassion shown by everyone at Creekstone Academy and look forward to watching my grandchildren continue to thrive there.

Today we pause with hearts held tight,
For those who stood, for those who’d fight.
They gave their all, their dreams, their days,
So we could live in freer ways.
For every flag that softly waves,
It honors heroes, strong and brave.
And for the families left behind,
A different kind of strength we find.
The empty chairs, the silent tears,
The ache that lingers through the years.
Yet through their sorrow, love remains,
A bond not broken by the pain.
So on this day, we bow our heads,
For all the living and the dead.
