A CALL TO ALL MAIL ARTISTS as well as 2 junk journaling ladies who also submitted mailart! Alissa
I don't know why i did not think of this a LONG time ago! I am (even though I am completely AGAINST non-physical documentation of a mailart project[it rapes the spirit of mailart which doesn't come into itself until it is shipped through the post office] I never thought I'd be the 1 who did this)and yet necessity drives that which becomes physical reality.
I am going to create a digital repository for Sugar Cube Zine (ongoing). I am doing this direct;ly as a result of having zero ability to make the original submissions digital to re-size them & then format a zine & then I am buying toner 4 my laserjet either this month or next.
Please send in (12) pieces of art 8"x4"wide. also please decorate ur mailing envelops DRAMATICALLY as my unique Zine is just that bcuz those will serve as the covers 4 Sugar Cube Zine(ongoing)!

physical documentation provided as it hit the post office 1 week after submission #12 arrives! This is deadly serious guys rhe project could COMPLETELY stagnate & die bcuz we did not help one another in the mailart community. I even offered 2 pay shipping both ways if people would just make it digital & send it by email the zine as a pdf but absolutely NOONE will help me. define community?
Had i been a savvy mailartist i would hve from the beginning of Sugar Cube Zine(ongoing) required a specified size & 12 copies or o.g. pieces so that no printer was even necessary. No technical skills to 1st digitize then format a single work of art that was the o.g. requirement for submission into a printable zine.
Alas....
Documentation will be posted on i.g. for the o.g. Sugar Cube Zine(ongoing). Once I can figuire something out it will be produced but like ive always said ur mailing envelope will be used 4 the Zine covers & someone sent in a postcard! The audacity. Yet i would not respect me either if I were you guys as it has been 4 yrs since the o.g. call! So if peeps can disrespect my project can disrespect ur physical doc. & just post it online on instagram, an account SPeCiFiCalLY created for Sugar Cube Zine(ongoing) where I'm posting their documentation and wi;ll post every subsequent issue as well. This WILLNOT negate ur physical documentation I promise guys!
Now i have 4 submissions. For my project & i need 12. I had 33 submissions within 3 months when I posted the o.g. mailart project in september 2022!!!!!!!! Just GIVE me an OPPUrtunity to update my o.g. call into specs that are clearly more pragmatic & it is evident that I clearly DID NOT KNOW WHAT the hell I was doing when I only called for 1 piece of art. It is dishonerable to see ur fellow mans folly , know how you can help them fix it yet say not a single word. Not only remain silent but secretly relish in their downfall. As my entire project is SUFFERING I mean come on almost or 1 year since I took up posting about Sugar Cube Zine(ongoing)again since 2022 & I have recieved a total of 4 submissions whereas b4 Even tho you all had no clue who I was! You 33 people very quick;ly sent me work!
Sugar Cube Zine(ongoing) original call is getting ready to present your DOCUMENTATION to all on it's own i.g. page. I will tag whoever participated way back in 2022 and share the link to it's online presence!
It is a sadist who looks at his friend sees' they're going to fall but keeps his silence until it is too late & you fall then he hides his evil grin. The more clever amongst you could see me failing or falling rather almost at the very outset & could have checked in [just mention to me if I had skill set & the ability to make all of the copies myself and had skills to digitize & reformat all of the sizes.
as it was evident to absolutely everyone I was A newbie, and to know what was coming yet remain silent makes you just as responsible for the fact that noone trusts me anymore because of all this such that I have 4 submissions & this project is my baby!
I know how fast those 33 subs came in so tht I know this is why noone wants to participate because noone trusts me to provide documentation! This project can be dead in a feww months time if absolutely EVERYone except my 4 DEAR supporters' an YUP Mr. William Mellott & my dear friend Picasso Gaglione BOTH SENT IN SUBmissions even though they also submitted before & have yet to recieve their Sugar Cube Zine(ongoing) 2022 mailart call! Coming soon to FACEBOOOK! The project NEEDS it's own space therefore we are giving her one!
