Today's Tip: Optimize for the Fluctuations

Master the "Auto" Setting:** If you have a smart or programmable thermostat, switch it to the "Auto" mode rather than explicitly "Heat" or "Cool." This allows your system to seamlessly bounce between heating and cooling based on your target temperatures.

Widen the Gap:** Set a wider temperature gap between your heating and cooling setpoints—for example, set the heat to kick on at 68°F and the AC to kick on at 74°F. This prevents your system from short-cycling as the sun comes up and goes down.
