Did you Know- the first Motorized vacuum was invented by Herbert Cecil Booth. He called it "Puffing Billy". It was a Gas powered- Horse Drawn unit, that he used to start a Vacuum Service called the British Vacuum Cleaner Company.

Changing Our Office Hours

Hi Folks,

We are changing our stated office hours to help with the social media advertising.

We will still be available at 3AM to clean up that mess before your partner comes back into town. We will come on a Sunday for that Moveout Deadline. We will still come at 9PM to clean up that Spaghetti Sauce or Wine spill from the dinner party.

The only day we are truly closed is on the Sabbath

On my mind today….. losing our office of 27 years.
My husband and I started Nelson carpet cleaning 39 years ago. 27 years ago, we moved from Shoreline to our Office in Perrinville. The building was run down, and a man named Greg, had purchased the property and brought it back to a useable space. It was perfect for us. There was an office space out front, and a home in the back. We had 2 teenage sons, three cleaning vans, and a shiny new sign above the door.
I learned about Gertie Perrin, her doll hospital, and all the work she did to get a post office, so Perrinville could become a reality.
So much happened in that building. We had 2 more sons, Joseph and Jacob, who grew up there, learned to clean carpets in that space and finally took over the business for their dad, when he could not work anymore.
The sign is still above the door, for now. I have no idea what the new owners will do with building.
We will be doing more stuff on social, now that we don’t have our sweet little office advertising for us.

The boys are still cleaning carpets. We still love all of our clients. We don’t know what the future holds, but we trust God, to keep leading us.
