I have a couple of new clients that don’t know my story and ask how I came up with my business name. Here we gooooo!
We moved down here a little over 3 years ago. The first job I had was a shift manager at a local restaurant where I became friends with one of our customers. We got to talking and I mentioned to him how I wanted to get into the cleaning business.
He happened to own a short term rental (Airbnb, VRBO) management company. I put in my 2 weeks notice and started cleaning condos under his STR business.
After several months, I acquired my own STR owner to clean for. Between that, obtaining my LLC, and slowly building my residential business, I pulled away from condos to solely focus on residential. My clientele was built on being a solo cleaner and word of mouth. I don’t advertise, I don’t subcontract, I don’t have employees.
Ollie’s Tidy Hive is named after my son, Oliver. He is the reason I do this work. I am home every evening and off on weekends. It is physically taxing but I am a present parent and that is what is most important to me.
I want to give a shout out to my clients that have stuck with me, shown grace, have become family, and big supporters of my business.
