Soft opening at Tiger Sun Restaurant & Lounge and this was my first pick, berry compote French toast.

Golden, buttery, perfectly crisp on the edges, soft inside… topped with warm, rich berry compote and a dusting of powdered sugar. Paired with real maple syrup on the side, just chef’s kiss.

If this is how they’re starting, .va is about to be the brunch spot.

Fat Thursday (Tłusty Czwartek), one of my favorite Polish traditions! 🇵🇱✨

In Poland, every home is filled with pączki (Polish donuts) and faworki (angel wings) this day. Basically, it’s the official excuse to eat as many sweets as possible before Lent.

Here in the U.S., you can find donuts… but they’re just not the same. So this year, I made my own 💪
Mini cottage cheese pączki, classic faworki dusted with powdered sugar, and even yeast faworki with icing.

Let’s just say… my husband is a very happy man today 😆🍩
And me? I’m happy I could share a little piece of Polish tradition (and sweetness!) with family, friends, and our guests ❤️

In my home, Polish Christmas Eve (Wigilia) is a cherished tradition.
We prepare 12 homemade, meatless dishes and begin supper after the first star appears in the sky. We share opłatek, exchange heartfelt wishes, enjoy the meal together, and open gifts later in the evening.

✨🍰 Sweet Treat + Sweet Vibes 🍰✨

Stopped by Mrs. Joy’s Absolutely Fabulous Treats today and their cinnamon bun did not disappoint! I couldn’t even wait — poked the frosting with my finger because it looked TOO GOOD 😂 Pretty sure it’s cream cheese… but whatever it is, it’s deliciouso 😍

And as if that wasn’t enough… one of the customers started playing the piano and I ended up doing a little swirl-dance with another lady 💃😂
Full. Experience. Package.

Going back tomorrow for a cream puff because at this point I’m invested 😂

🌿 New Guest Update at The Bell House! 🌿

We’ve added something special for our guests’ comfort — brand new wooden stairs with a railing and solar lights! ✨

Even though we have nice sidewalks, we noticed many guests love a little shortcut across the grass 😄 — so we decided to make it easier (and prettier!).

The new steps make the walk smoother, safer, and cozier, especially in the evenings. We’re also planning to make them a little wider soon for even more comfort.

Święconka - A Beloved Polish Easter Tradition🐣

This Easter, I wanted to share a glimpse of my beautifully arranged Easter basket, a cherished part of Polish tradition known as „Święconka”.

On Holy Saturday, families bring baskets filled with symbolic foods to church to be blessed. Each item in the basket carries deep meaning:
- Eggs🥚: Representing new life and Christ’s resurrection.
- Bread🍞: Symbolizing Jesus, the Bread of Life—this year, homemade with love!
- Salt🧂: A sign of purification.
- Horseradish🌱: Reflecting the bitterness of Christ’s suffering.
- Meats like ham or sausage🍖: Celebrating joy and abundance.
- Butter shaped as a lamb🐑: Representing Christ as the Lamb of God.

The basket is traditionally lined with a white linen cloth and decorated with sprigs of greenery, making it as beautiful as it is meaningful. After the blessing, these foods are shared with loved ones during Easter celebrations, symbolizing renewal, faith, and gratitude.

Today marks 20 years since I arrived in the USA and started a new chapter in my life! 🇺🇸✨ The journey hasn’t always been easy, but through hard work, determination, and some challenges along the way, I’ve built a life I’m proud of.

From starting fresh in a new country to running a successful STR cleaning, co-hosting, and handyman business, and even owning our own Airbnb, Bell House—this journey has been incredible. It wasn’t always smooth sailing (remodeling Bell House tested us in ways we never imagined!), but looking back, every challenge was worth it.

Many people think success happens overnight or that opportunities just fall into place. The truth is, we worked every single day, overcoming language barriers, having no family or friends here, and making countless sacrifices. Nothing was handed to us—we built our life and business through sheer dedication. If there’s one message I want to share today, it’s that hard work and perseverance always pay off. 💪🇺🇸

I could never have achieved this without my amazing team: my daughter, who always gives me her shoulder to cry on; my husband, who is patient and handles my stress when things go wrong at work; and everyone who has supported me along the way. Thank you for being part of this journey!
