As a professional organizer and personal assistant to clients, I’ve realized that a service oriented business is more of a gift perhaps to myself than clients. Being a problem solver and helping to be able to understand someone else’s needs other than my own in the middle of chaos, is certainly not without challenges, but always successful. In the middle of chaos, we become paralyzed and not making good decisions or maybe not any decision at all but it helps tremendously to have someone who will have honest professionally frank conversations within a framework that is inclusive of thoughts and ideas even when not everything is permissible.

“True freedom is allowing yourself to be misunderstood.”

How much time in your day is spent trying to “to relate” to others around you ? When we were children, we called that peer pressure and as we get older, we try to keep up with the Joneses and to be relatable. Yet one of the greatest blessings in life is to be okay and comfortable in your own skin.

A little known secret about me is that I have collected keys. I am a professional organizer in most of my life have quoted the statement, “less is more” and yet I have a collection of keys. Majority of them I have no idea where they go. Most of them have either been given to me or I have collected out of a junk drawer that no one knew where they went to any longer. To many of you it makes no sense whatsoever to be an organizer, much less a collector of keys.
And it is okay and good with you not understanding. Not only am I a professional organizer. I am an interior designer and I have a creative side of me that sees things differently. I don’t necessarily crunch numbers or am analytical about very much but give me an empty house, a paintbrush, a canvas or a box of keys and I bet I can do something with them.

True freedom is being who God created you to be, uniquely different, same and or maybe misunderstood and being certain that you are wonderfully made.

Remember when we were kids and the excitement of seeing something new? It was a wonder , a full wonder of an experience! We had no presumed thoughts or expectations … we just had the occasion the experience, purely. I trust we can love others through that lens. Not naive, or blindly, but purely.
