Hello! Here at KHS we prioritize our customers' safety and satisfaction; We pride ourselves in our outstanding customer service and reputation to the community. In order to prevent any fire hazard and to ensure that your dryer is preforming to it's best capabilities, experts recommend having your dryer vents cleaned at least once every year. However, if you have a household that uses your dryer often, such as one with a lot of children, you may want to consider increasing that amount to every six months. If you are unsure of the last time it's been cleaned, here's a list of signs that it requires attention:
1. Clothes are taking longer than normal to dry
2. Clothes are unusually hot to the touch
3. The room is humid/ warmer than usual when drying
4. You notice a musty or burning smell
5. The lint flap isn't opening
6. The dryer displays an error code
7. Lint is coming from the outside vent opening
If any of these apply to you, we highly recommend scheduling a cleaning with us as soon as possible!
