Our Story

John LaPan is an incredible father, husband and contractor. Growing up in Lowell, MA, he worked in concrete for over 10 years as well as taking simple carpentry jobs to keep food on the table. During the early 80’s, John worked with a waterproofing company and quickly went from laborer, to a site supervisor. Over the years he reinvented the way waterproofing systems were installed, to prevent call backs and inadequate systems. After having his designed challenged, or done incorrectly, he decided it was time to start his own business. LaPans Waterproofing was born. Working out of his basement when he first started, he was the salesman, the installer and the office managers for many years.

Today, John works hand in hand with his family. His loving wife, Michelle, runs the office and assists with customers and two out of three children work directly with him on site. John’s amazing work ethic and family values are instilled in his family. Both his son and daughter are as respectful, hard working and determined as he is. John strives for perfection and quality work. His efforts to ensure the best quality of his trade shows in all his finish work. The customers he’s worked with continue to recommend him to their friends and family and they continue to contact him directly for help. The LaPans are a hard working family that believes in quality work done the right way and hope to help your family with your home improvement needs.
