Matt shows a Nonpareil/Monterey orchard with high rates of Ganoderma. Prevention efforts include rootstock selection, preventing wounding especially at the base of the tree, and avoiding excessive moisture around the root crown.

Almond growers are growing 3 crops along with trees that sequester carbon. The almond hulls actually make up twice the weight of the almond and provide feed to the dairy industry.

Matt in an almond orchard with what appears to be nutrient burn. Applying "too much of a good thing" is a costly mistake in the orchard. Over-fertilizing almond trees leads to nutrient burn, salt toxicity in the soil, and significant yield drops.
