🚫 Carpet Fresh Powder
✅ Baking Soda

Instead of spending money on carpet powders that simply mask odors, sprinkle baking soda on your carpet and let it sit for 15–30 minutes before vacuuming. You can even add a few drops of your favorite essential oil if you want a fresh scent. The baking soda actually helps absorb odors instead of just covering them up.

🚫 Store-Bought Daily Shower Spray
✅ DIY Daily Shower Spray

Mix:
• 1 cup rubbing alcohol
• 1 teaspoon Dawn dish soap
• Fill the rest of the bottle with water

Spray shower walls, doors, and fixtures after each use. This helps prevent soap scum and water spots from building up, saving you time and money on deep cleaning later.

🚫 Glass Cleaner
✅ 50/50 Rubbing Alcohol & Water

Mix equal parts rubbing alcohol and water in a spray bottle. Spray onto mirrors, windows, and glass surfaces and wipe with a microfiber cloth for a streak-free shine.

🚫 Store-Bought Degreaser
✅ DIY Dawn & Alcohol Degreaser

Mix:
• 1 cup rubbing alcohol
• 1–2 teaspoons Dawn dish soap
• Fill the rest of the bottle with water

This works great on greasy stovetops, range hoods, cabinet fronts, and other kitchen surfaces without paying for specialty degreasers.

🚫 Ready-to-Use All-Purpose Cleaners
✅ Concentrated Cleaner Refills

Instead of buying a new spray bottle every time, purchase a concentrate of your favorite cleaner such as Mr. Clean or Lysol and refill your existing bottles. You'll get more product for your money and create less plastic waste.

🚫 Toilet Cleaning Tablets
✅ Baking Soda & Dish Soap

Add about ½ cup of baking soda and a small sq**rt of dish soap to the toilet bowl. Let it sit for a few minutes, scrub, and flush. This helps deodorize and clean without spending money on tablets that continually release chemicals into your toilet.
