Ever spotted a strange, long-legged insect jumping across your garage or crawl space? You may have encountered a camel cricket!
These unwanted visitors are commonly found in dark, damp areas around homes throughout the Carolinas.
And they're not the only pests that appreciate moisture and shelter. Silverfish, cockroaches, and other occasional invaders can also turn up in garages, laundry rooms, bathrooms, and crawl spaces.
A few ways to make your home less inviting:
- Reduce excess moisture and repair leaks.
- Keep stored items organized and off damp floors.
- Seal gaps around doors and utility openings.
- Address pest activity before it becomes a recurring problem.
Just because you don't see pests every day doesn't mean they're not finding places to hide!
