Alright, home cleaners, I need your help. One of our own needs us.

As many of you know, I am a survivor of domestic violence. Through my business coaching, one of the things that is incredibly important to me is helping women who are in similar situations grow their cleaning businesses so they can gain financial independence and create a safe way out. When I have the opportunity to help a woman in this situation, I do it for free.

Right now, I am working with a fellow cleaner who has chosen to remain anonymous for the safety of herself and her children. She is a mom of four, including one child with special needs, and she is working incredibly hard to build her cleaning business while preparing to safely leave an abusive relationship.

One of the biggest hurdles standing in her way right now is transportation.

The vehicle she currently drives belongs to her abuser. In order for her to continue working, provide for her children, and begin safely taking the steps necessary to leave, she needs a vehicle of her own.

And this is where I need our cleaning community. ❤️

I have set up a GoFundMe to help raise the money needed to purchase a reliable used vehicle for her and her children. I set the initial goal low enough that, at minimum, we can hopefully raise enough for a down payment.

But I am praying we blow past that goal.

I would LOVE to see this community come together and raise enough money to purchase a used vehicle outright so that this mama can have one less financial burden as she works toward independence.

Home cleaners take care of other people's homes every single day. Now one of our own needs us to help her build a safe home and future for her children.

Sometimes the best organizing trick isn’t buying more bins—it’s getting rid of the stuff you don’t need!

Discard it. Donate it. Let it go.

When you find another local fellow cleaning business owner who’s willing to clean your house in exchange for you cleaning hers… it’s an absolutely WONDERFUL DAY!!! 😂🙌🧹✨

Because let’s be honest… neither one of us has time to clean our own houses, and neither one of us wants to do it at the end of a long work week! 🤣

So we came up with the perfect solution…

✨ We added each other to our cleaning schedules! ✨

No money exchanged. Just two hardworking cleaning ladies helping each other out and bartering house-cleaning services! 🧹🤝🧹

Honestly, I LOVE this!!! ❤️

There’s something pretty awesome about finding another local business owner who just gets it. We spend our weeks taking care of everyone else’s homes… now we get to take care of each other’s! 🥰

Today was a lot harder than I expected.

I’ve been cleaning for this amazing family since 2020, and today was my very last cleaning with them. They’ve sold their home and are starting an exciting new chapter in Florida. It was definitely bittersweet.

One of the things I love most about what I do is the relationships I build with my clients. I get to watch their children grow, form special bonds with their pets, and celebrate all the wonderful milestones in their lives. Before long, they feel like extended family.

I’m really going to miss this incredible family. They have been such loyal supporters of my small business over the years, and they’ve always been so kind to me. I will forever be grateful for the trust they placed in me and for all the wonderful memories we’ve shared.

Before I left today, they gave me some beautiful plants from their garden to take home. I’ll be replanting them in my own gardens, where they’ll always remind me of this wonderful family and the years we shared. It’s a gift I’ll treasure for a long time.

Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your lives these past several years. I wish you nothing but happiness, good health, and endless sunshine in Florida! I can’t wait to follow your new adventure on Facebook.
