And when we think of Monticello, we can’t help but think of Mr. Raymond Hubbard. He’s known for serving this community as our branch manager for an incredible 73 years— from the ripe age of 18 all the way to 94.

That kind of dedication, work ethic and care for people is something we’ll always admire. We’ve always loved hiring people with the hope that Curry’s becomes more than just a job, but a long-term career & a work family they truly care about.

A day full of celebrating, but we didn’t want to finish the day without honoring the incredible moms of Curry's Termite, Pest & Animal Control & our customers who are mamas.

Today we celebrate the women whose love, sacrifice, patience, perseverance and servant hearts make such a difference every single day. Wives, mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers— THANK YOU for all you do!

PINE BLUFF!

This one’s a little different for us. Pine Bluff isn’t just another city we service— it’s where our story began.

Back in 1926, this is where Curry's Termite, Pest & Animal Control was founded, becoming one of the oldest termite companies in the state of Arkansas!

This is where our roots are planted, our family history was built & our name was established.

It’s still home to our first office and continues to serve as the hub for much of our Southern Arkansas jurisdiction.

This is where our Papa grew up, and where generations of our family have ties that run deep. || Again, we want to say thank you for all the prayers and support. We took last week off from ‘City Saturday’ to rest & reset, and we’re so grateful for the kindness shown to us during this difficult time.

Our future 5th generation, works from our Pine Bluff office regularly— so if you ever need him or just want to connect, we can make that happen (bonus points if it involves a round of golf 😉)

Owen’s obituary and service details are below for anyone who would like to join us in honoring his life.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026, beginning at 12:00 PM at East Union Missionary Baptist Church, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at the Old Texas Cemetery in Guy, Arkansas at 3:00 PM.

Owen Curry Jr., Curry's Termite, Pest & Animal Control’s third-generation owner, and our beloved “Papa” has gone to be with Jesus.

He was truly destined to be a bug man— growing up right next door to the original Pine Bluff office (which opened in 1926). As a kid, he spent years helping around the shop and learning the trade from his father. In the late 1940s, his family moved to Little Rock to expand the company, briefly living at 202 Bishop Street, the same address where our Little Rock office resides still today.

After graduating from Central High School, he joined the Navy. After serving his country, he returned home, completed a year at the University of Arkansas, and then came back to work at Curry’s, where he remained until his retirement in 2013.

Along the way, he became one of the first licensed pesticide applicators in Arkansas— at the time, the youngest in the state. He later served as president of the Arkansas Pest Management Association, was appointed by Governor Bill Clinton to the Arkansas State Plant Board for two terms, and was a 33rd degree Mason.

But more than any title or accomplishment, his legacy lives on in the people he mentored and the standards he set. He was always detailed with his notes and very organized. He knew a lot about carpentry— but truthfully, he could pick up just about any trade or craft and be successful at it.

Our hearts ache, but we find comfort in knowing we will see him again. His influence and the foundation he built will continue to live on through our family and our company for generations to come. We see that every day. In the small things— like coming across a document with his signature on it. Moments that now feel even more meaningful and will always remind us of the impact he had.

Visitation will be held tomorrow at 11:00 AM, with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. We will share the full obituary once it has been published.

He is R I S E N.

Today we’re reminded that the stone was rolled away, and with it came hope, redemption and a new beginning. As it says in Luke 24, “They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus… He is not here; He has risen.”

At Curry's Termite, Pest & Animal Control, we’re thankful for the chance to serve others and strive to live out our values in the way we work, treat people and show up each day.

Today and every day, we’re grateful for His sacrifice that covered our sins and that His love never fails. There’s something special about getting to share this with you— our customers, our friends!
