Yesterday, Emily was cleaning a shower so aggressively that she emerged with soap suds stuck to her eyelashes.

We weren't sure if she was cleaning the shower or trying to move into it. 🤣

The homeowner looked at the finished shower and said, "This is the cleanest my shower has ever looked. You definitely know what you're doing."

Well, we sure hope so. Emily sacrificed her vision for this shower. 💀

We know it’s not National Boss’s Day or anything (that’s actually in October), but this incredible woman deserves to be recognized TODAY.

Emily is the fearless leader and owner of Messy Buns, and she works tirelessly to keep this business running smoothly. Not only is she out in the field with us (and honestly...she is the G.O.A.T. 🐐), but she’s also behind the scenes answering calls and texts 24/7, making schedules, keeping supplies stocked, and pulling all-nighters doing Airbnb laundry.

She takes care of her employees by making sure we have hours, fair pay, and support when we need it. She also values her clients deeply and treats them the way she would want herself and her family treated.

Running a successful business while also being an amazing mother, wife, leader, friend, and human is no small thing. Somehow she does it all with grace.

Emily, you truly are a gem. A diamond. And we are so lucky to know and work beside you. We love you and appreciate you more than words can say! ❤️

Our hearts are absolutely broken for the local businesses, employees, and families affected by the recent fire. 💔

Small businesses are the heartbeat of our community, and we know many families are now facing unexpected stress, loss of income, and uncertainty.

Because of this, Messy Buns would like to help in any way we can.

We are offering:
• FREE post-construction/post-smoke cleanup help for affected businesses or spaces
• Groceries for a couple families who are currently without income due to the fire

Cleaning this dollhouse today took me right back to being a little girl. 🩷
Funny how something so small can hold so many memories. From imagining tiny lives in tiny rooms to now cleaning real homes and building a real life of my own.
Sometimes in the middle of the chaos, hard work, and long days, God gives little reminders of where we started.
