ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS get a camera flue inspection with every sweep. OMG! While it's not much to look at, the arrow is pointing to a very dangerous condition. This defective section is allowing combustion gasses to enter the insulated area of the flue pipe. This chimney(or section) is no longer serviceable and could easily start a 🏠 🔥 .

Always get a flue inspection with every chimney sweep. It is standard practice with all our sweeps.

This is a chimney we inspected last year 😲. Yes, the chimney cap is completely blocked with creosote. I was speechless. The customer asked if it could be cleaned. What would you have said?

🔥 🔥 Hey Lexington!🔥🔥 Please have your fireplace swept and inspected each year. I'm not sure how there was not a chimney fire for this client. This chimney cap is completely blocked with Stage 3 creosote. The flue is covered in it. Stay safe out there
