π« Why I Hate Aerosol Glass Cleaners π«
Iβm not a fan of aerosol cans for cleaning windows and mirrors, so I wanted to share some of my favorite eco-friendly, effective alternatives that actually work great and are super cost effective, saving you money, your lungs and planet earth! πβ¨
$$$$$ Cleaning with coins!!! :)
π©΅ E-Cloth β Just add water! Seriously, this cloth cleans windows and mirrors beautifully with no cleaner needed.
πͺ Microfiber Wholesale Glass Cleaner β A great streak-free option for windows, mirrors, and shiny surfaces. Just pop in their concentrated sheet and you have yourself a glass cleaner in the same reusable bottle.
π§Ό Dr. Bronnerβs Sal Suds β A concentrated cleaner that can clean just about everything. A little goes a long way!
π PUR Evergreen Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaner β Streak-free and effective for glass, mirrors, and more with the disinfecting power of hydrogen peroxide.
π€ Thieves Cleaner β A concentrated plant based cleaner that tackles everything around the house with a fun Christmas spa like scent.
π Unscented Blue Juice β One of my favorites for glass and mirrors. Leaves everything sparkling with no fragrances!!!
π Windex Vinegar Cleaner β Ammonia-free and a good ready-to-use spray option. And no, you donβt smell the vinegar.
You can also make a fantastic DIY glass mirror cleaner with ethanol or isopropyl, alcohol and water. You can add in dish soap, or essential oil oils or make a vinegar and water glass cleaner. Super cost-effective!!
π° Bonus: Refillable cleaners save money! One of the biggest reasons I prefer concentrated cleaners is that you can refill your bottles over and over, which saves a lot more money in the long run. Aerosol cans are typically one-time use, then tossed away. And depending on where you live, many municipalities donβt recycle aerosol cans, creating even more waste. Aerosol cans are also horrible for the environment.
β No aerosol cans for me β just effective, lower-waste options that get the job done!
What are your favorite eco friendly window and mirror cleaners? π
