🍁 Fall Pest Prevention Checklist 🏠🛡️
As the weather cools, unwanted guests like mice, rats, spiders, stink bugs and cockroaches start looking for a warm place to overwinter. Don’t let them move in! Here’s a simple checklist to keep autumn invaders at bay:
Seal entry points. Inspect your foundation and exterior walls for cracks or gaps around pipes, vents, windows and doors. Use caulk or weather stripping to close them off.
Trim vegetation. Keep tree branches and shrubs away from your roof and walls so pests don’t have an easy bridge into your home.
Clear out gutters. Clogged gutters create moisture problems that attract insects; clean them so water drains properly.
Store firewood properly. Move firewood stacks at least 20 feet from the house and off the ground to discourage rodents and termites.
Reduce moisture and clutter. Fix leaky pipes, tidy storage areas and inspect packages before bringing them inside.
If you hear scratching, see droppings or notice other signs of pests, it’s time for a professional inspection. Comment with your questions, share your own fall pest‑prevention tips or send us a message to schedule a check‑up—our team is here to help you enjoy a pest‑free season!
