*ATTENTION.*** Freedom Fest โ25 is nearly here, and we thought it might be helpful to share a few instructions and recommendations that will assist you in making the most of it.
1) First, please expect a large crowd. We canโt say with any certainty, but we think itโs entirely possible that our crowd may eclipse 5000. Weโre implementing enhanced safety measures and will have a considerable number of law enforcement and medical professionals on site, but please take the appropriate precautions for bringing your family to a large public event in a public space.
2) Handicapped parking will be available in the grass along 1st Avenue just before it intersects with Old Farmington Road leading into Rock Creek Park. The gravel lots near the picnic pavilions in the park will be available for vendors, volunteers, leaders, and support staff ONLY. The large grassy field across from the creek from the stage at Rock Creek Park (often called Murray Farm) will NOT be available for any parking, as that is the launch site for our fireworks show.
3) Golf cart shuttles WILL BE available at the 1st Avenue entrance to the park and at the opposite end of the park in the large pavement and grassy parking areas behind the Lewisburg Gas Department.
4) Please bring lawn chairs for everyone in your party unless you are ok with sitting on the ground. There is no built-in seating in the park.
5) Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 80โs under sunny skies, so please protect your skin and make sure you stay hydrated. To assist you, FREE bottles of water will be available onsite; multiple misting devices will be available onsite also to help you cool down.
6) You only will need money for what you buy from the food trucks. ALL other products and services are entirely FREE (no donations will be asked for or accepted). Most food trucks will be able to take credit/debit cards and/or other forms of electronic payment, but please bring cash if you want to make sure. And all money made by the food trucks stays with the food trucks. We at HOPEtown do not charge them any sort of event fee or sales percentage, and we will pay all necessary fees for all the artists and services available for children in Firecracker Alley.
7) Food trucks and Firecracker Alley activities will open at 5 pm. Inflatable bouncy houses will shut down at around 7 pm to minimize noise distractions during the worship time. Face painters and balloon artists and games/activities will close at 8 pm. Food trucks may choose to stay open until 8:30, after which they will close so that we can get ready for the fireworks show.
Whew, we think thatโs it! Please comment or send us a private message if you still have questions. Hope to see you at Rock Creek Park tomorrow evening! July 3!
