🧴 How Much Detergent Should You Use? 🧴

Using too much detergent won’t make your clothes cleaner—it actually does the opposite! ❌ Excess soap can leave residue, trap dirt, and make fabrics stiff.

✅ The Right Amount:
🔹 HE Machines: Use 2 teaspoons for a regular load.
🔹 Standard Machines: Use about 2 tablespoons for a full load.
🔹 Overloading? More clothes ≠ more detergent. Stick to the correct amount for the best clean!

Did you know that using the right water temperature can extend the life of your clothes? Here’s a quick guide:

🔥 Hot Water (130°F or higher) – Best for whites, towels, and heavily soiled items. Kills germs and removes stains!
🌊 Warm Water (90°–110°F) – Perfect for everyday loads, including synthetic fabrics and colored items.
❄️ Cold Water (60°–80°F) – Ideal for delicate fabrics, dark colors, and items prone to shrinking.

Quick tip to save some $: You should only use about a tablespoon of laundry detergent per regular load size. The measuring cup lid from your liquid laundry detergent is almost 10 times larger than the actual amount needed.

Tuesday 8/24 we will be having our first Free Detergent Afternoon from 3Pm - 7Pm. Anyone who does a load of laundry in our washers during those hours will get free detergent to use with their paid wash. Limit of 3 boxes per customer while supplies last.
