🚨 Another water heater down! 🚨

The call came in, and Peter headed out to see what was going on. After a full inspection, he found the culprit—a leaking skinny tank water heater that had reached the end of its life.

After walking the homeowner through all of their options, they decided it was time for a brand-new water heater! 💧🔧

It’s going to be a tight squeeze getting the new one in, but if anyone can handle the job, it’s Peter, our expert plumber! 💪 We can’t wait to get this customer back up and running with reliable hot water.

🚨 New Homeowners, This Is Why you ALWAYS have your own Inspections done! 🚨

We received a call from a customer who had just purchased their home and recently moved in. They noticed something wasn’t right with their water heater, so they called the gas company. After inspecting it, the gas company immediately shut the water heater down because it was unsafe due to improper venting.

When our technician arrived and completed a full inspection, we confirmed the gas company’s findings—but that wasn’t all. The water heater, which was manufactured in 1994, was also leaking from the tank, meaning replacement was the only safe option.

The most surprising part? This water heater had passed the home inspection. Unfortunately, issues like improper venting and aging equipment can sometimes be overlooked, leaving new homeowners with unexpected and potentially dangerous problems.

We’re now providing the homeowner with replacement options so they can safely get their hot water back.

💡 The lesson: Whether you’ve lived in your home for years or just got the keys, don’t rely solely on a home inspection. A professional plumbing and HVAC inspection can uncover hidden safety hazards before they become costly—or dangerous.

🚽 What starts as a simple clogged toilet can sometimes reveal a much bigger problem.

Our plumber, Erik, responded to a home with an overflowing toilet. After investigating, he discovered two major issues:
❌ An excessive amount of “flushable” wipes had clogged the drain.
🌳 A broken sewer line approximately 21 feet from the home had allowed tree roots to grow into the pipe.

The roots had likely been there for quite some time, but the constant flushing of wipes finally caused the line to completely back up and overflow.

Our next step is bringing in our hydro jetter to thoroughly clear the sewer line so we can restore flow, then providing the homeowner with an estimate to repair the damaged section of pipe and eliminate the root intrusion.

💡 Remember: Even if the package says “flushable,” wipes don’t break down like toilet paper and can cause expensive plumbing repairs—especially if your sewer line already has cracks or root intrusion.
