The hardest vendor problem is not always bad work. Sometimes it is unclear ownership.

A cleaning issue goes to one company. A small repair goes to another. A supply problem goes somewhere else. Then the facility manager becomes the person connecting all the dots.

That is exactly the workload we want to reduce.

At YORA, Facility Reliability means making ownership visible: what is open, who owns it, when it is due, and what proves it is actually closed.

The goal is not more vendors. It is fewer loose ends.

One thing I don't want YORA to lose as we grow is local accountability.

A company can have a great website and a big service area, but when something goes wrong at 8:00 at night, the client cares about one thing: who knows the building and who is taking ownership right now?

We want both — larger reach and local response. Growth should make service stronger, not make the client feel farther away from the people responsible for their facility.

That's the kind of company we're building.

In facility work, 'done' can be a dangerous word.

Someone says the repair is done or the issue is handled — but nobody checked. Then two days later the same problem is still sitting there.

For us, completion needs evidence. Was the work actually finished? Did somebody verify it? Is there anything still open?

We're pushing that standard inside YORA: don't just report 'done.' Verify it, document it, and close the loop.

One building looks great. Another keeps having the same problem. One vendor answers quickly. Another takes three follow-ups.

That inconsistency is one of the hardest parts of managing multiple locations.

Adding more vendors usually doesn't fix it. A clear operating standard does: same expectations, same inspection process, same follow-up, and somebody accountable for closing the loop.

That's what we're building at YORA. The goal is simple: a client shouldn't have to wonder which location is being taken care of and which one isn't.

One thing I don't want after a facility walkthrough is a nice report that sits in somebody's inbox.

If we spot something, there should be a next step:

What needs attention?
Who owns it?
When is it getting fixed?
How do we verify it was actually closed?

That sounds basic, but this is where facility problems get lost — especially when a company has several locations and no one person can keep every detail in their head.

At YORA, a walkthrough is supposed to create action, not paperwork. Spot it, assign it, follow it through.

That's the standard we're building.

Facility problems rarely become emergencies overnight.

Usually, there were warning signs first.

A missed inspection.
A small repair that stayed open.
A vendor nobody followed up with.
A recurring cleaning issue that became “normal.”
A facility manager who had to remember everything personally.

That is why we believe facility management should be about more than completing individual tasks.

At YORA, the goal is Facility Reliability — identifying problems, assigning ownership, verifying completion and reducing the number of surprises our clients have to deal with.

Cleaning matters. Maintenance matters. Vendors matter.

But what matters most is knowing the facility is being managed and someone is accountable.

A reliable facility is not created by one big cleanup.

It is created by catching the small things before they become complaints, disruptions, or expensive problems.

That is the standard we keep pushing at YORA: notice it, communicate it, correct it, verify it.

What small facility issue causes the biggest headaches when it gets ignored?

WHO IS THE STRONGEST OPERATIONS LEADER YOU KNOW?

YORA Facility Services is making one of the most important hires for our next stage of growth.

We need a hands-on, multi-site operator who has already led supervisors, customers, vendors and field operations—and who can show systems built and measurable results.

This is not an assistant, coordinator or single-site supervisor position.

It is a real operating leadership seat in a founder-led growth company.

Operations Manager – Multi-Site Facility Services
Lemont, IL / Chicagoland
$80K–$90K base + performance-based bonus

Strong backgrounds can include facility services, restoration, environmental services, industrial services, pest control, landscaping, HVAC/service trades, property/facilities operations or similar multi-site service businesses.

If someone immediately comes to mind—even if they are currently employed—I would appreciate a confidential introduction.

We are hiring a Project Manager at YORA Facility Services.

This is a great opportunity for the right person — but we are being very selective.

We are looking for someone who is:

Organized
Communicative
Detail-oriented
Reliable
Hungry to grow
Strong with follow-up
Willing to take ownership

This person will help manage projects, schedules, field teams, vendors, communication, quality control, reports, and customer follow-up.

Experience in facility services, construction, maintenance, operations, or project management is preferred.

At YORA, we are looking for builders — not clock-punchers.

Builders solve problems.
Builders take ownership.
Builders care about the outcome.
Builders help the team get better.

If you want a real opportunity to grow with a serious company, we want to hear from you.

Great conversation last week at BOMA BOMA/Suburban Chicago member meeting about AI in commercial real estate.

For property management and facility maintenance, AI is not just a technology topic. It is quickly becoming an operations topic.

The opportunity is simple: help building teams respond faster, track recurring issues better, improve documentation, and prevent small problems from becoming expensive ones.

At YORA, we believe the best results come when strong people, clear communication, and better systems work together.

That is the future of building maintenance: proactive, accountable, and easier for property managers to trust.

Property managers: where would better reporting or earlier issue detection help your building the most?
