Attention all, today we conducted a squirrel removal operation. To illustrate the size difference between squirrel and rat droppings, we have compiled a series of pictures. The initial three images depict squirrel droppings found in the insulation, while the other 3 images show rat droppings located near the baseboard. Upon close inspection, it is evident that the size difference between the two is not substantial. The most effective method for distinguishing between the two lies in examining the width and uniformity of the droppings. Rat droppings tend to be more uniform, smoother, and have pinched-off ends, whereas squirrel droppings are less uniform with rounded edges. We aim to highlight the similarities between the two types of droppings and the potential for misidentification.
