As a local business owner, I believe in supporting and recognizing people who are making a positive impact in our surrounding communities. I want to take a minute to recognize Coach Fred Davis with Train Like Fred. Fred is a certified USA Boxing coach, personal trainer, and matchmaker who is working to create opportunities and continue building the boxing community throughout Rome, GA and Cherokee County. What I love most is the opportunity this creates for our younger generation. We need more positive outlets, mentors, and people willing to invest in our youth. Boxing is so much more than fighting. It teaches discipline, confidence, and consistency while giving young people something positive to work toward.

On a personal note, I can speak firsthand on Fred as a trainer. I began training with him on March 2nd, and while my weight loss journey started long before I met Fred, the structure and training he’s brought into my life over the last 4 months have completely changed my body and the direction of my fitness journey. He listened to my goals, pushed me when I needed it, and has helped me build the strength and physique I’ve been working toward. The transformation speaks for itself. 💪🏽 I’m also getting ready to begin my own boxing journey with him, and I couldn’t be more excited!
