Today, on National Backflow Prevention Day, we are celebrating the unsung heroes of public health! 🛠️👏

This day is dedicated to the plumbers, pipefitters, inspectors, and water quality professionals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our tap water is clean and safe .

The day was chosen to commemorate a tragic backflow incident at the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair, which resulted in the deaths of nearly 100 people . Since then, the industry has worked diligently to implement cross-connection control and backflow prevention programs, saving countless lives and preventing illness.

Thank you to all the professionals who keep our water systems safe! Your work truly matters. 🚰

Freezing temps are headed our way. Protect your backflow preventer now and avoid the problems we saw on January 31. A little prep today saves a big headache tomorrow.

A Florida 'Socks and Flops' Alert. Summer visits this weekend. Then winter revisits early next week. 20s and 30s make a special return Monday night with Arctic level wind chills dipping deep into the state. Yes I'm not joking. Temps will be dropping like Iguanas once again.
