I absolutely love cooking! I learned this delicious EMPANADAS recipe from my Dominican Mother-in-law 15 years ago. These are a staple in my home for every occasion! I can fly 100 out of my kitchen in a weekend and I get the biggest smile seeing everyone enjoying them and going on and on about how good they are! Authentic is what they are. The flavor is bold and powerful, the meat is juicy and the cheese sets it off with each bite. I use Sargento cheese, usually Colby Jack mix and a little secret ingredient 😍

I leave the shell stuffed full and edges sealed, ready for you to fry or bake them. Also, they can be frozen; place them in a freezer bag and keep for up to 3 months.
If air frying, using a little cooking spray on each side will help keep it crispy! Fry until golden brown and use your favorite dip of choice or just eat them on the go! I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!!

I make this every few weeks for my home and I find people really enjoy all the flavor my food gives you each time you take a bite. The secret is out! And now I want to share this recipe with you. It's Authentic Dominican Sofrito 🇩🇴 I make it just like I was taught many years ago. The entire house fills with the aroma of Garlic and Cilantro!
My Sofrito may vary in colors depending on the color of Pepper I am using that day. All comes out the same in the end 😋
