I've got a full day of packing ahead as I'm helping a client get ready to move. Later I'm gonna sit on my couch and not move for the rest of the day!

Saturday will be spent doing some spooky things...a haunted house at the May-Stringer House and a vintage market perhaps. Sunday I'm putting myself out there to meet some new people at a fall gathering where we will exchange boo baskets with one another.

Where do you keep all your straws that come with your insulated cups?

Here's an organizing solution I really like. This handy little holder attaches to the inside of your cabinet door. It's thin enough to not interfere with the contents of the cabinet. Installation is super easy and it attaches without any drilling or harware.

It's been a week! Glad it's coming to a close and the weekend is here!

It was my daughter's birthday yesterday and we'll be celebrating it this weekend. Luckily the hurricane is heading north of us so hopefully we can get in a few rain free hours at some point!

What happens when I help a client downsize and organize? A lot of donating/disposal followed by overwhelming relief!

I frequently hear "I'm overwhelmed" and "this is causing me anxiety" at the start of a project. Those words turn into "I'm so relieved that's done!" I literally just heard these words on Monday.

It brings me joy to help folks sort through years of items they may have emotional attachment to. They just need someone to tell them it's ok to part with these things.

My newest client is going through a big life change. I will be helping her downsize, organize the home for showing and packing up for the move!

Happy Friday!

What's one little thing you can do to make your closet more aesthetically pleasing?

(It's also my #1 tip for clients)

Use ONE kind of hanger in all the same style/color! Such a simple change can make a huge difference. Clothes all hang at the same height, you won't have an added rainbow of colors and the spacing is better horizontally as well because plastic hangers and velvet coated metal vary in thickness!

Which ones do I prefer? The velvet because the fabric grips onto the velvet instead of slipping like clothing items do on the plastic. The plastic ones also lose their shape with heavy items. The wire ones from the dry cleaner aren't even a consideration. They go right in the 🛢! And never use kids hangers for adult sized clothing!

Halloween fun has been going on here since August! Last weekend we hit up 3 haunted houses and went on a haunted hayride. Hoping to go to a few harvest fairs and maybe a haunted speakeasy!
