There are many different types of septic tanks but they all are relative in function. Some are one big compartment and some have multiple compartments.

KR has cleaned several β€œI haven’t touched it in 30 years” tanks and the sludge is to the brim of the tank with little to no water in the tank. When this happens that sludge will enter your outlet baffle into your drain field and cause your drain lines to clog up resulting in an over flowing tank. This can be several thousands of dollars to replace all to save a few hundred dollars to have it pumped out/maintained.

Neglected tanks will also cost you more to be pumped out to offset the increased wear and tear on pumps utilized in pumping out the tank.

Your septic tank is part of your investment, don’t neglect it.

Emergency Pump and Repair due to roots. Last pump out was 10 years ago. Although the tank wasn't in bad shape the root cause could've been found with regular 3 to 5 year pumpouts/inspections.
