Differences in Treatment Methods for Termites

Subterranean Termite Treatment

Subterranean Termites live underground and prefer to feed on soft, moist wood. Dead trees and rotting wood on your property could be attractants for Subterranean Termites. Treatment includes the application of a termiticide in the soil these termites are nesting in. Treatment can be done for live infestations and preventively. Soil treatment includes:

Trenching: This treatment method includes digging a trench around the perimeter of the structure and filling the trench with a termiticide.

Drilling: If the perimeter of the structure is concrete, drilling may be the only option. A hole is drilled through the concrete, and the termiticide is injected into the drilled hole, saturating the soil underneath.

Baiting: In-ground bait stations are another way to treat subterranean termite colonies. We offer both installation and refilling these stations.

Drywood Termite droppings, or frass, look like piles of sawdust, and can be any shade of brown, from beige, reddish-brown, dark brown, and even black.

They are actually little balls of wood and fall out of the wood as the termite exits the wood through a kick-out hole.

Their damage resembles hollowed-out wood that may be cracked through by applying pressure. Usually, a significant amount of droppings fall from damaged wood
