We are hiring!
MiLo Septic and Portable Toilets provides portable sanitation services to agriculture, construction, military, government, private individuals, and events over a wide range of areas in South Ga and North Florida. Qualified individuals will work along with other employees to maintain vehicles, vacuum systems, trailers, and mechanical systems. This person in this position will, at times, be required to use modern communication tools and assume great responsibility for service trucks and vacuum systems. Experienced individuals will be tasked with major responsibilities to help set up and support large scale event operations.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
· Basic truck maintenance skills,
· A willingness to participate in advanced training,
· Ability to keep organized and detailed records for fleet maintenance,
· The ability to work well with others,
· A valid drivers’ license including ability to secure a medical card,
· Driving record clear of accidents, moving violations, DUI, etc.,
· Experience towing and backing trailers up to 30’ in length,
· No felony convictions or criminal record that would prevent access to client facilities,
· Pass a drug screening test and background screening, including a full review of driving history,
· Ability to read and speak English (other languages are an additional benefit),
Duties and responsibilities
· Safely and responsibly drive, operate, and maintain the service vehicle, including loading and operation of the vehicle and its vacuum system,
· Proactively identify and conduct preventive maintenance addressing safety concerns with, trailers, trucks, other vehicles, vacuum systems, and any other equipment used to support the collection and safe disposal of waste,
· Communicate with the Managing Partner about upcoming equipment needs and scheduled maintenance,
· Acknowledging text and email messages while submitting receipts with notes in a timely fashion,
· Work independently and consistently making good decisions while positively representing MiLo
· Work closely with the Managing Partner regarding events and assume great responsibility, when scheduled, that may include, weekends, long hours and working holidays,
· Be comfortable with change in the daily routine by demonstrating adaptability and flexibility,
· Receive deliveries when the Yard Manager is not available,
· Other duties as assigned or needed.
Physical requirements
Applicant must be able to move portable sanitation units from the truck to the ground and reload and secure units on to the truck or trailer after service is complete. This may require the lifting or maneuvering of items 45+ lbs.
Working conditions
MiLo Septic and Portable Toilets operates 52 weeks a year. Regular weekly service to locations is required and expected therefore working on exceptionally cold/hot or rainy days will be routine. A large portion of the day is spent inside the truck cab but equal time may be spent working out of doors.
Direct reports
Weekly route of work done will report directly to the Managing Partner and Operations Manager and will be required to submit weekly paperwork prior to the end of work week.
