A story in seven slides.
1: A mother raccoon has entered the roof to make a nest for her family in the attic.
2: Mother raccoon boldly declares that I’ll have to try harder than that to get her family out of their comfy new home.
3: She’s proven right. I rebuilt all of the soffit around the trap and reinforced it with sheet metal so that she had nowhere to go but into the trap.
4: Her nest was pin-pointed by listening carefully for her babies in the area the homeowners heard her the most.
5: A small access was cut into the drywall to extract mother raccoon’s four kits.
6: The access was taped shut and left to be mudded, textured and painted another day.
7: Two of the four kits were especially photogenic and this photo will be a reminder to the homeowners of their attic raccoon adventure now that the raccoons are all gone and their home is now secure.
