𝟭𝟭 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞!!!🥹🤍
It’s crazy to think that around this exact time last year, I made more money than I had ever made before, and it came right after losing the job I loved the most out of all the jobs I’ve ever had.
I would’ve stayed at Success By Design Learning Center forever if things had worked out that way, but they didn’t.
So, I did what I thought I was supposed to do. I started applying for jobs. Probably 80 of them, honestly. 😂 I was either overqualified, underqualified, or didn’t get a response at all.
One day, I was sitting in therapy talking about losing my job and how I had no idea what I was going to do next. My therapist asked me, “Why don’t you just pick up more houses and clean full-time?”
My immediate response was, “But what if I don’t do good at it? What if I fail?”
And he quickly responded, “𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁?”
That question has stuck with me for an entire year.
A year ago, I never imagined this would last. I never imagined I’d be sitting here saying I own a business, much less that I have an EMPLOYEE!
God has not only used this business to bless my family, but He’s now using it to bless someone else’s obedience, too. And I think that’s one of the most beautiful parts of all of this.
And it all started with obedience.
Not perfection. Not having everything figured out. Just being willing to take the next step.
And please don’t think that means everything has been easy, because it hasn’t. Life is HARD. Raising children is hard. Being married is hard. Running a business is hard. Some days I feel like I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing. 😂
But I really believe God uses those hard seasons to mold us, shape us, and grow us in wisdom. We learn to lean on Him a little more, and hopefully, we learn to stay humble when we find ourselves in seasons of abundance.
And that brings me to something else that’s been on my heart.
If you’re out there thinking a life of abundance just isn’t for you, let me tell you something. THE DEVIL IS A LIAR.
The world has convinced us that abundance looks like fancy vacations every three months, expensive cars, a big beautiful house, or having more money than we know what to do with.
But that’s not what living abundantly with God is all about.
A life of abundance with God is a life filled with LOVE, PEACE, JOY, PATIENCE (most of the time 😅), KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, and SELF-CONTROL.
And when we start allowing God to develop those things in us, something changes. We start getting out of our own way. We stop letting fear make every decision for us. We start having the courage to pursue the things He’s placed on our hearts.
And sometimes those things turn into opportunities we never could’ve imagined for ourselves.
Making a lot of money comes with a lot of responsibility, too. I don’t believe God blesses us just so we can have more stuff. I believe He calls us to steward what He’s given us WELL. To serve others, to give, to create opportunities, and to leave behind a legacy of what HE was able to do through us and the things we put our hands to.
And that’s what I want Safe Haven Cleaning to be.
Not just a successful cleaning business, but something that points back to Him.

These verses remind us that the person who delights in God’s Word is like a tree planted by streams of water, bearing fruit in its season, with leaves that do not wither.
“whatever they do prospers.” — Psalm 1:3 (NIV)
So here’s to 11 houses this week, one employee, a whole lot of lessons learned, and a God who has been faithful through every bit of it. 🤍
