Valley Fabrication, Inc. completed a major repair on this clam bucket. Our team replaced the backs and fabricated new edges to restore full function. For a clam bucket, having flush, sealed edges is critical, so we brought in the hydraulic pump to test a closed cycle and ensure a perfect final fit on the cutting edges.

Doug Inman is celebrating 25 Years at Valley Fabrication, Inc. 🙌🚨📐

Today we’re celebrating 25 years of fabrication and serious layout talent from one of the very best in the business!

For a quarter of a century, he’s been the guy we turn to when the layout has to be perfect. Complex fabrication? Crazy transitions? The jobs that make everyone else pause for a minute? That’s where he shines.

His ability to break down intricate fabrication layouts is second to none. Every measurement, every angle, every detail thought through and executed with precision. Detail-oriented doesn’t even begin to cover it. He takes pride in getting it right the first time, and that commitment shows in every project that leaves our shop.

25 years of dedication, skill, and setting the standard for quality fabrication.

This was a fun one! The customer had been using their pile driver (center) to drive I-beams into the ground but wanted to switch to C-channel. To make that possible, we custom-built these adapter blocks to fit the new profile. Each piece started as solid 4140 steel, precision-machined and built to take a beating.

LaSalle Peru Area Career Center hosted a Signing Day this year recognizing students taking their next steps whether that’s apprenticeships, college, or military service. It was a great event to be part of.

We’re proud to welcome three LP ACC students to our team this summer:

Christian Konczak has been with us for the past few years, helping clean parts, maintain the shop, and learn the trade. This summer, he’ll officially step into an apprenticeship role with Machinery Maintenance, joining his dad and two uncles in the shops. Christian was also named Student of the Year, a well-deserved honor.

Landon Raef has been working at Valley Fabrication since he was 16. As graduation approached, he made it clear he wanted to pursue a career in fabrication. His work ethic and consistency made this a no brainer for us. Landon will begin his apprenticeship with VFI in June.

Dane Wicinski will be joining our PM crew, supporting shop operations while exploring career paths in machining and welding. We’re excited to have him on board and hope he finds a path that leads him into one of our apprenticeship programs down the road.

Congratulations to all three on their hard work, dedication, and upcoming graduation. Their teachers spoke highly of each of them, and we’re looking forward to seeing what they accomplish in the years ahead.

No job is too big for On Site Repair Services, Inc - changing the bull gear on a customer ball mill leveraging a 150ton crane. Great work OSR!

We recently had a challenge land in our lap a customer’s 10-ton crane (less than 10 years old) was down, and the OEM in Italy couldn’t supply replacement parts.

Instead of letting them wait months and risk costly downtime, our fabrication and machine shop teams teamed up to reverse-engineer every component, replicate them with precision, and reassemble the crane so it was good as new.

When OEM delays threaten your operation, having a local partner who can step in fast can make all the difference. We were glad to get this crane, and our customer back in action without the long wait.
