Sometimes cleaning isn’t really about cleaning.

When I arrived, this client was overwhelmed. She started tearing up showing me the house and everything that needed to be done.

So I worked my magic.

No judgment. No shame. Just one thing at a time.

And when I was finished, she teared up again. 💚

But this time, she was standing in a room that felt like a room again. Not perfect but manageable, and more importantly, a room where she can actually rest and recharge.

That’s the part of this job that means the most to me. I don’t care how your home got to where it is. You don’t have to clean before I come, you don’t need to apologize, and you definitely don’t need to be embarrassed.

Sometimes you just need someone to help you get to the other side of the overwhelm.

Most weekdays I’m in clients’ homes cleaning, and when I’m not working, I’m wearing my favorite title: Mom.

Because I’m a one-woman business, I don’t spend my day on my phone. I spend it making homes sparkle. ✨

That means it may take me a few hours (and occasionally until that evening) to return messages during business hours.

Every message is important to me, and I respond to each one as soon as I have a chance to sit down and give it the attention it deserves.

Contrary to what my page suggests, I have not gone out of business! 😉

I’ve been a little quiet over here, but that’s usually a sign that I’m busy doing what I do best.

Done With Dirt is still alive and well, even when I’m not posting every day. Sometimes being a one-woman show means choosing between making a reel and making a house sparkle, and the house usually wins. 🤷🏼‍♀️
