Things I’ve heard as a professional cleaner that drive me INSANEEEE 😂
“The house looks great, but why wasn’t THIS done?”
Because that wasn’t part of the clean. READ. THE. CHECKLIST. Your quote tells you exactly what’s included! If there’s something you want done that isn’t listed, PLEASE tell your cleaner before accepting the quote so they can add it and price accordingly.😩
“I can find someone cheaper.”
And you absolutely can! 😂 I’ll NEVER be mad at someone for choosing what fits their budget. But make sure you’re comparing the SERVICE, not just the price. Are they completing the entire checklist? Removing the soap scum and hard water buildup? Getting around the toilet hinges, baseboards, cabinet fronts and all those little corners everyone forgets exist? 👀
“I found someone who can do it way faster.”
Okayyyy 😂 but faster doesn’t automatically mean better. Are they preventing cross contamination? Changing cloths? Using the right products on the right surfaces? Actually allowing disinfectant to sit long enough to work? I promise I’m not spending 45 minutes in your bathroom for fun. I’m in there SCRUBBING it. 😭😂
“Why does a deep clean cost that much?”
Because the word DEEP is there for a reason. 😭 We aren’t just wiping counters, vacuuming, mopping and spraying something that smells good. Sometimes we’re removing buildup that took YEARS to get there.
“It should only take a couple hours.”
My back and knees would LOVE that. 😂 A small home can take longer than a large one depending on the condition and what you want done.
“I can’t afford your prices.”
Sometimes that’s genuinely true, and there is ZERO shame in that. ❤️ But there’s a difference between something not fitting your budget and a professional being “too expensive.” We all choose where our extra money goes. Hair, nails, eating out, shopping, vacations, hobbies… professional cleaning is a luxury too.
There will ALWAYS be someone cheaper and ALWAYS be someone faster, and that’s okay!
I’m not trying to be the cheapest cleaner.
I’m trying to be the cleaner you hire once and then refuse to let anyone else clean for you again🫶🏻
