Reasons why professional FUL-TIME washers cannot wash for $100
1. We carry commercial insurance. It’s not cheap
2. Our equipment can run up to $30,000 or more plus the cost of the truck
3. Our equipment gets used more hours in a day than a typical homeowner pressure washer gets used in a year. Also needing repairs often due to the heavy use.
4. The cost of groceries, fuel, supplies, etc has also gone up for us as well.
5. We have to pay our own health insurance.
6. We have to pay self employment taxes.
7. We have to put our money into our retirement. We don’t have pensions or 401K match.
8. There is more work to our business than just cleaning the house. We do a lot behind the scenes in our shop but it is part of the business.
9. Chemicals are very high and shipping is even higher for acids and caustics.
10. Advertising is very expensive. Unfortunately, the work doesn’t fall in our laps
11. Education and knowing our craft is expensive. That is why we don’t have many issues at all compared to the cheaper guys.

Just remember, for us, this is a business, not a little side job for extra cash. Thanks to all my customers who see the value instead of just the cost.
