PuroClean of Kingston is looking to add to their Construction team. We are looking for individuals who have basic knowledge of construction materials, a valid Drver's license to drive company vehicles, and positive attitude. Tasks would include picking up and dropping of materials to job sites, cleaning and organizing job sites. Skills in construction is a bonus but not necessary. Compensation ranges from 23-25 an hour based on experience. There is plenty of room to grow and move up from this position if desired. We also offer paid sick time, paid personal time off, and a company matching retirement system. Contact us if interested.

Ice dams can force melting snow back under your shingles and into your home. If you’re dealing with one, here are three immediate steps that can help reduce the risk of leaks when the inevitable thaw comes:

✅ Create a drainage path
Use calcium chloride ice melt (roof-safe) in a fabric tube or sock laid across the ice dam. This helps melt channels so water can drain off the roof instead of backing up.

✅ Remove snow above the ice dam
Use a roof rake from the ground to clear snow from the lower few feet of roof above the dam. Less snow = less meltwater feeding the problem.

✅ Reduce attic heat loss
Close attic access panels tightly.
Less heat escaping = slower ice buildup.

⚠️ Important: Don’t chip ice with tools and don’t use rock salt — both can damage your roof.
