As we start the 2021 season...

Fans! It’s been 645 days since we last experienced Kingsport baseball at Hunter Wright Stadium.

The 2019 season ended dramatically with our K-Mets and then 2020 happened. A worldwide pandemic changed our lives and cancelled our baseball.

Now there is a new team in town under a new rebranded Appy League. Many cities across the country lost their team entirely. Our region is lucky and today we start a new era of baseball in Kingsport with the debut of our Axmen.

We get to see players start their baseball journey and watch the beginnings of their dreams realized.

The team and the Appy League is worth supporting and we should support it. So come out tonight and every night to watch these young men play America’s pastime.

For me and hopefully you the fans, the words “Play Ball” couldn’t come soon enough.
